Johdanto:


Vammalan lukion Erasmus-projektin Suomen vierailu toi Sastamalaan 33 ulkomaalaista Erasmus-opettajaa
ja -opiskelijaa 18.-24.2.2018. Vieraat tutustuivat nuorten poliittiseen osallistumiseen ja järjestivät sitä
käsittelevän paneelikeskustelun, jossa osallistujat käsittelivät tilannetta omissa maissaan ja ideoivat
keinoja aktivoida nuoria politiikan pariin. Viikon aikana vieraat tutustuivat myös Eduskuntataloon ja
kotimaamme demokratian historiaan sekä talvilajeihin Ellivuoressa. Ohessa kahden opiskelijan haastattelut.

Miksi päätit osallistua Erasmus+ -projektiin?
  • Koulu kysyi tahtoisinko lähteä mukaan.
Miksi päätit tulla juuri Suomeen projektin mukana?
  • Olen ollut aikaisemminkin Suomessa Erasmus -projektin kautta. Halusin nähdä Suomea syvemmällä tasolla. On mielenkiintoista nähdä millä tavalla tavalliset suomalaiset perheet elävät.
Mikä on ollut parasta tähän mennessä?
  • Selkeää parasta asiaa ei ole ollut, mutta koko viikko on ollut aivan mahtava; ihmiset, sekä suomalaisen kulttuurin ja elämäntyylin tunteminen.
Mitä mieltä olet nuorten osallistumisesta politiikkaan?
  • Minusta on tärkeää, että nuoret tietävät politiikasta, sillä jonain päivänä he ovat vastuussa, ja heidän täytyy tietää mitä tapahtuu.

Miten viikkosi on mennyt tähän mennessä?
  • Viikkoni on ollut todella mukava; olen nauttinut siitä. Pidin erityisesti Ellivuoressa vietetystä päivästä. On todella uutta olla näin kylmissä lämpötiloissa, sillä Skotlannissa ei ole näin kylmä!


Miksi päätit osallistua Erasmus+ -projektiin?
  • Päätin osallistua projektiin, kun näin sitä mainostettavan koulussa, enkä ollut koskaan käynyt Suomessa.
Mikä on ollut parasta tähän mennessä?
  • Parasta oli fatbike -pyöräily ja suomalaisen maaseudun näkeminen sekä muihin kansallisuuksiin tutustuminen.
Mitä mieltä olet nuorten osallistumisesta politiikkaan?
  • Minusta on tärkeää kohottaa nuorten kiinnostusta politiikkaa kohtaan, sillä se on erittäin matalalla tällä hetkellä. Nuoret voivat muuttaa paljon, kun he ovat aktiivisia politiikassa. Itse uskon olevani aktiivinen. Suomen politiikka kiinnostaa minua paljon: pidin eduskuntavierailusta ja poliitikon kanssa puhuminen oli mielenkiintoista.

Time to wrap up the project: a BIG thank you to all Erasmus+ teachers and students!

Dear friends, all the project visits have been carried out, summer holidays draw nearer and apart from final uploading & reporting the results, there isn't that much to do with the project. It's been an amazing two years in great company! I've had the privilege of co-coordinating Erasmus+ projects for several years, and I must say it's always a pleasure. Great company, international cooperation and unforgettable experiences for students and teachers alike! Scotland 25.11.-1.12.2018

Erasmus+ meeting in Scotland 25.11.-1.12.2018 On Sunday morning we started our journey from Vammala at 8 am. We took the train to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The national railway company, VR, was doing some construction on the tracks, so we had to modify our tickets beforehand and book a coach on our way back to Vammala. Anyway, everything should have been okay and we didn’t have any problems with the first train. We had to change trains in Tampere and there we found out that VR had cancelled all our tickets to both directions. Luckily we got everything sorted out and we arrived early at the check-in. After the check-in, it was lunch time. Our departure was from terminal T2 and I remembered  a good restaurant there. The Nordic Kitchen offered us tasty reindeer pizzas, pastas and salads. From Helsinki we flew to London and ate again. I can just say that I had booked good tickets, a lot of time to eat, my favourite thing! Because we were in Heathrow we had to try

Estonia 3.-9.10.2018

Erasmus+ meeting in Estonia 3.-9.10.2018 On Wednesday 3rd we started our journey from Vammala to Tartu at 8 am, not too early though. We took a train, tram, ferry, taxi and bus to get to Tartto and of course there was plenty of waiting time in between the different vehicles so we finally arrived at 7 pm. Luckily we didn’t have any problems during our journey. We ate a buffet at the ferry and watched movies on the bus so the journey went pretty quickly. If you as me, eating is always a good way to spend time! In the evening students met the German, Italian and Scottish students and got familiar with their roommates at the hostel while us, the teachers, settled in our hotel rooms. Next day we had a great welcome concert at Lähte Ühisgymnasium. After the concert the students were divided to groups and the hard work for the project began. After a school lunch we took a bus to Tartu Town Hall Square and walked to the Estonian University of Life Sciences to visit an en
